I am applying for college and I have to take a Social Sciences Elective, but the course book doesn't describe what Social Sciences means. Anyone wanna help me out?

That is part of the general education requirements. Social sciences means you would need to take one course from one of several disciplines: psychology, sociology, political science, economics (sometimes), anthropology, geography. There's usually quite an array of courses, so I'm sure you will find one you like. Psychology is usually the most popular.
