Any music store will have videos and books to help you learn
to play a guitar and/or tune it. But for about the cost of that same book and less than a video you can buy a digital or quartz guitar tuner. Its an electronic device that can be used on an electric or acoustic guitar and it is super easy to use. It has a built in mic for acoustic and a plug in for electric. Even the pros use them. Check them out at Guitar World on line.

you get a recording of the E before middle C tune( or buy an battery operated tuner and tune the top string then take the fifth fret of that string tune the next string to that note continue until you hit G take the fourth fret of this string tune the next string to it. this next string use the fifth to tune the last string on a six string. for other non standard tunings like drop D follow the same type of procedure ( not always the fifth) for example to tune to drop D one option is to tune the top string of a standard tuning to D not E but then you match up the d string with the 12th fret to get the open note to be the octave lower. learned that stuff online somewhere. for other six string tunings the source I have seems good.

Myspace and YouTube have some ok videos, but if you're serious about learning, take lessons.

here's a site to tune it to, but it's only the pitch, not how to do it.
