just had my tryouts last week, i didnt make it.
i asked the coach for a 2nd chance, she gave it to me.
while i was playing, i dislocated my knee...now im not going to play.

but here:
right and left handed layups
scrimmaging
passing drills (bounce pass, chest pass, overhead pass)
dribbling drills (to test your control of the ball using left hand and right hand)

thats about it.
REMEMBER to hustle...that is the most im portant thing.
show good sportsmanshiip, and DONT GIVE UP!
if you dont make it, confront the coach and ask for a second chance.
GOOD LLUCK !

They usually last a few days and the coaches usually look for conditioning and how well they perform with the basic fundamentals. They may divide up in to teams and scrimage. Most high school coaches will not turn anyone away who is willing to show up and try anyway. The only schools where they do that are big big high schools.

usually a little running, and some drills that test your basic knowledge of the game. If you really want to make the team do what ever the coach asks as hard as you can. Most running are tests to see who wants it most.

Practice, practice practice lay-ups and free throws. Those two things are most important. Then a lot of running for endurance to play the whole game. Good luck to you.
