WHOA! the two people before me are out to lunch. The slope for question 1 is "-1"!!!!

slope = y2-y1/x2-x1

so for question #1.........y1=6, y2=5 and x1=2, x2=3

slope = 5-6/3-2 = -1/1 = -1

u can do the second one now that you know how to do it

(5-6)/(3-2) = -1/1 = -1

(3-4)/(7-9) = -1/-2 = 1/2

When you have two points (x₁,y₁) and (x₂,y₂), calculate the slope m using
m = (y₂-y₁)/(x₂-x₁)

1) m = (5-6)/(3-2)
you can finish the arithmetic.

2) exactly the same process as 1)

Hi, m = (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1) so...

1) (5-6) / (3-2) = -1/1 = -1

2) (3 -4) / (7-9) = -1/-2 = 1/2 = 0.5

it may help to visulize so draw it on graph paper then 6-5=1,
2-3=-1, 1/-1 = -1

4-3=1
9-7=2
so slope is 1/2

hope this helps!
