The game Silent Hunter 3, are all the missions in career mode just patrols,?

Question

cause iv been playing for a few weeks now and its just patrols, there are no mission where you go and blow up a boat, or attack a convoy like SH2.
Pls tell me if there are different missions

There are a cuple of ways to go here. You're playing the dynamic campaign. In this mode you command a U-boat (choosing variuos dates and bases) and go on patrols hunting for the occasional lone freighter or convoy. To set up patrols near convoy routes, check the map that came with the game...if you have the version that did.
Single missions are in the main menu. The mission Scapa Flo takes you about 20 minutes or more to reach the area thats patrolled by enemy ships. The mission Bismark, Courageous, Happy Times and Narvik will get you into the heat of the action quickly.
The game isn't meant to be played quickly. If you speed up the time compression you'll miss alot and bypass ships. Stay on the surface at night and keep submerged during the day for the most part. E-mail me if you have any questions.
