If we let the greedy, lying politicians control the way this country is going, we need to redefine what they are doing outside the constitution they were sworn to protect. No where does it say we have the basic right to lie, cheat and steal from our constituents in order to get rich off of them. No where does it say that we can listen in on all your conversations like Big Brother and control not only the way you live, but how you live. A more perfect Union for me may not be the same for you, but if we let those who are purported to run this country, we must, read 'MUST' redefine what those greedy bast*rds are doing. In my opinion.

What is already allowed to be private needs to needs to be expanded, so that more is off-limits to government and government agents/agencies..
The current restrictions, and the plans to create further limits on privacy will do nothing at all to make America a safer place for Americans, but they will certainly weaken the country that started 200 years ago, and grew into America.
This official, who is merely spouting government directives, is voicing intentions that are specifically intended at reducing the freedoms of America and Americans.
"Security" is nothing more than a buzzword that is used to justify bypassing the Constitution and reduce or eliminate the freedoms guaranteed within the US Constitution..

No, there is no need to redefine privacy...most people simple need to realize that they have NEVER had as much privacy as they thought they did.
People get all freaked out about the government putting cameras on the street...but completely ignore that they are on camera dozens of times every day...like every time you go into a business, or into work. I walk past three cameras just in my building getting to my desk in the morning! (And I would not doubt that I pass within view of at least a dozen others on the way to work.)
No, it doesn't faze me a bit. People get far too uptight about these things. There is no great line of folks whose rights are being violated by this technology. And, in fact, the technology has been used to solve many many crimes...which actually protects us from potential and very real intrusions into our privacy.
People need to concern themselves with real intrusions into their privacy, rather than whipping themselves into a frenzy over insignificant matters.

I agree if it means big brother butting out of my personal business. WE have aloud them too much power in the name of safety. Slowly our freedoms are being taken and no one says a thing about it.
