When I was pregnant I hadfour ultrasounds that I got pictures and about five others without pictures. So it depends on you and how the baby is. I was High-Risk. I almost miscarried her in December but she was born 6 weeks early in May. I have never heard of only one ultrasound though.
I had one at 13 weeks, one at 18 weeks, one at 25 weeks and one at 32 weeks. Good Luck

Most women I talk to get 2. My doctor is wonderful and with my daughter I got a total of 4. I'm 17 weeks pregnant and have already had 2 ultrasounds. I have the big ultrasound in two weeks, and I know my doctor does another one towards the end to make sure the baby dropped.

I had an ultrasound at 10 weeks (my first Dr.'s appointment and another at about 21 weeks. Thats all the ultrasounds I will have. They typically only do 1 or 2 unless your pregnancy is high risk.

I think that It truly depends on when you found out you were pregnant. I am 14 weeks and 5 days pregnant I had my first ultrasound at 7.5 weeks and I go for another tomorrow...It could be that you found out your pregnant earlier this time around therefore they set you up with everything earlier : ) but I thought it was wonderful getting to start early because then its like you watch your baby grow from a little bean into a baby : ) good luck and enjoy!!!

Two is pretty normal for a pregnancy that isn't high-risk. You'll usually get one early on to date the pregnancy (I had one at 7 weeks). You'll also get one around 20 weeks so they can check all the baby's organs, growth, etc. Some doctors also give you one more toward the end to find out which direction the baby is laying.

My wife is pregnant and we get one every other visit [our visits are once a month and soon going to be every 3 weeks then down to two weeks].
But I've also heard that our Doc gives more Ultrasounds than most.
Maybe talk to your Doctor and see, ours gave us a sheet that told us when she'd be doing the ultrasounds so we knew when to bring people if we wanted [and she normally reminds us or tells us if we are going to have one during the next visit]

If you start going to the doctor early you will have to, one for dating the pregnancy and to get a due date, the other is a level 2, to check all organs and development, and gender, if you want to know.
I've had one at 18 weeks, but have another this Thursday because I'm measuring 42 weeks.

1-2 is normal. Sometimes one, if you know the first day your last period and you have a normal cycle. Two if you aren't sure when you conceived and they need to date the pregnancy (between 5-12 weeks) or if you're having a first trimester screen (10-14 weeks), or of course, if something is wrong.

Two is normal. I had one early just to make sure the baby was placed where it belonged. I cramped which was a sign of a tubal pregnancy. Then I had another at 4 months. So you will probably have one more.

My first pregnancy I had one at 5 weeks and one at 18 weeks. This time I had one at 5 weeks, 12weeks (found out the sex), 17 weeks (gender was confirmed), and then I did a 4D when I was 28 weeks.
