(not necessarily ALL of the above, just your reaction to one, or all, whatever)

FOR CLARIFICATION:

This is not a personal situation for myself as I have no children, I am just curious to see how people would judge/feel about these "criminal acts" if they were presented with them 'up close and personal'

I would be crushed. That is a hard situation to deal with. I have a similar situation with my brother. We are triplets and used to be really close. He is now in jail for armed robbery. He has done some really bad things. We hardly talk anymore because my son doesn't need to be around that kind of thing. I would suggest talking to your kid and finding out why they did what they did. Sometimes it's a cry for help or attention. Other times they just got in with the wrong crowd. All you can do is be there for them and help them the best you can to get back on the right path. I hope you can get things worked out. I am sure you are devastated. I truly hope things get better for you.

I would be mortified of course. I would not love her any less, though anger surely would be an acceptable response. I would want to try to help her make things better again so she could move forward.

I would still love them. I would be extremely angry at them. And I would expect them to pay the consequences of their actions even if that means jail time.

I would be mortified, and horrified, and ashamed, and I would feel a sadness in my soul...it would be like someone had died, it would be so bad, I would want to go to bed and stay there for years. I couldn't imagine it....in my wildest dreams
