Look, we don't really embrace true democracy here at home and we utterly fear it when it manifests itself abroad.

The US is the "home of the free' and the rest of the world can suck on it...

Democracy? The middle east? Puullleeeze.

They can't even say it. What I hear is Deeeeemmohkrassy.

If you can't say 'Democracy' you can't have it.

They have soundly rejected it. Leave them with an army that won't get them all killed and start pulling out of the entire area.
Kuwait, Saudi, UAE, Egypt, Israel.....all of them.
If Europe doesn't want to freeze to death, let them go figure out a way to keep the oil freighters from getting sunk.

We know England can't do it, the first time they tried they ended up hostages.
France is busy in Africa. Spain quit long ago. The Dutch aren't allowed to have bullets. The Russians have their own oil and gas. The Germans are busy declaring national Muslim holidays. The Chinese really are stealing oil in Africa but, it's OK, it's only immoral if Bush does it, and he isn't.
The Italians are too busy prosecuting american students. The Canadians? Don't make me laugh.
Let's see now, who's left? I guess that about sums it up.
See ya. Good luck.

I'm wondering why the south Asian nation of Pakistan got relocated to the Middle East just by your question. I'm amazed at your powers, Rove.

The only secular republic in the middle east just attacked Iraq Kurdistan. (Don't anyone try to throw Israel up as a democracy, anyone.) I felt so alone in late 2002 asking "What will Turkey do to Iraq's Kurds if Anatolia starts more trouble?" and got a lot of blank stares from my fellow Americans.

Bush and Blair really know the finer points, don't they?

The Chalabi Coup didn't quite go off as planned in Iraq, just as the MEK/MLQ won't go marching into Iran once we attack. Their leaders are in Paris, leading the life of Chalabi.

Thanks for this question, you get a star! The US tends to put so much emphasis on trade that Capitalism is the only litmus test for US support, so real Democracy is seen as a threat.

regrettably his vice chairman is Biden, who's a jew and professional Israel. regrettably he facilitates American taxpayer money to assist the Israeli profession. that's what Obama has completed for them. Oh btw, Israel is a "democratic" theocracy only as their neighboring muslim countries. they are only as possibly to deliver forth nuclear armageddon only as their fellow islamic terrorists over "holy land." It wont be so "holy" whilst they nuke the crap out of one yet another. they are actually not so diverse after all. lol

We do not support democracy in the middle east, one of our biggest allies is Saudi Arabia, a total monarchy, they don't even get to pretend to vote. We support oil in the middle east that's what we support.

As I stated earlier, were it not for the help of countries like Pakistan that serve a symbol of Democracy and human rights, we would not be able to spread Democracy to the rest of the Middle East.

How can we as a nation use the rational that we are protecting the world from producers of weapons of mass destruction when we manufacture and possess most of them and consistently show that we are willing and able to use them?

The pacifist does not deny conflict exists, but we believe nonviolence achieves social change with the least injustice and suffering because we focus on the evil of institutions rather than seeing individuals as evil.

the worst form of democracy is better than the best from of communism, totalitarianism, socialist...democracy will not happen over night. it took the USA several decades and we still have some tweaking but it looks good. what are the option if not democracy. saudi's absolute, die if you disagree laws. irans, stone her since she let four guys rape her laws or the ever poetic saddams, let me kill 500,000 people to make my point laws. it is not perfect but, it's the best thing going...today(rick flair)
