Sure. He believes as I do, that school funding belongs with the States, NOT the Federal Government. The Federal Department of Education is an unconstitutional department, not authorized by the Constitution. This is one of those areas covered by the 10th amendment, "reserved to the many states."
He is also better qualified than most dimmocrats - in particular Bill OR Hillary Clinton, Charles Schumer, Teddy Kennedy or Al Gore to name a few.
Now ... would I want him educating my children on the responsibilities of the federal government as regards to our borders and globalism? H*LL NO!

Let me see a Yale grad that became President of the United States or a bleeding heart tree hugger. Hmmmm, no I think my liberal teachers did a good enough job on teaching me that they were wrong.

Better he do it than Hillary. Hillary would just dump them off in the village square and wouldn't even care. If I dropped them off with Bill in the classroom he would grope and molest them. We all know how he "educated" Monica Lewinsky.
Would any of us want the Clintons "educating" our children?
Or any of the Democrats, like Barney Frank, for that matter?

At some point republicans must realize that education is as important (or more important) as defense.

He's already shown us what he knows about education. His "No child left behind" is a dismal failure. Teachers must teach to the test and are unable to use any creativity.
Interesting, test scores have gone DOWN since this policy has been instituted.
