I was just watching Will & Grace and the guy that plays Will is straight but there's a few scenes where he kisses another guy, I was just wondering if there's any actors out there who had a similar experience and what was it like?

It's strange, I'm sure but like your first answerer said they have to get over it. They have to get into character. Their character is gay or bisexual so obviously they wouldn't' feel strange about it in the least. In Six Degrees of Separation Will Smith and Anthony Michael Hall played gay lovers. They had to kiss and in an interview I think they said it took some getting used to (or something to that effect) but hey, that's acting.

Perhaps the interviews are available on YouTube now? Lord knows everything else is!

Absolutely correct. It's )your job, and )the character would not be thinking that it was strange. Turn the tables for a minute: think of all the gay guys in the history of theatre who have had to kiss females. In the end, we're all just people. On an acting level, what would The Character do?

It is just a kiss.

I have been scripted to kiss men, both gay and straight. We always discussed it beforehand, i.e., how much of the kiss is going to be offstage? I have used the same technique when kissing actresses I loathed, and ones I have desired.

What does it feel like? It feels like what your character wants it to feel like.

BTW: I have full facial hair, and both the men and women I have kissed (professionally, mind you) have told me it tickles.

Its just acting.

Yes, it may be odd at first but they get over it because its part of there job. Being an actor, you have to be flexible. :-)
