a liar that cheats on his/her spouse, or a liar that breaks in and steals what doesn't belong to them (or pays other people to do so)?

also, does it matter if this is an everyday person, or an elected official? just curious.

yeah i'm told Jeffrey Dahmer got his mother b-day cards every year. lets remember all the "good" things he did, mkay? sorry dude i don't care what good stuff Nixon did, he was a Crook, and he is lucky that ex-presidents don't go to jail like everyone else or he would have spent some time at club fed.

i know nothing of any evidence about the Clintons being involved with a robbery of Sandy Berger’s office. where was Ken Star then? why were charges not brought? if there was evidence of this criminal act, are we to assume that the many and active enemies of Clinton didn't act on this evidence? maybe that’s just something you want to believe....

I think that the liar who breaks in and steals what isn't his/hers is worse than the one who cheats on his/her spouse, because more people are affected by robbery than by someone's marital infidelity.

The thief is by far the greater threat. I assume you are trying to compare and contrast Bill Clinton and Richard Nixon. But You are forgetting about the Clintons having their good friend Sandy Berger steal documents from the National Archives to cover up their misdeeds. So Clinton is both an adulterer and a thief. In most places adultery is not illegal, just immoral. And most people will lie about it because they don't want to get caught doing it. Again not illegal, just immoral, unless you lie under oath. Then it is perjury. This is only really a danger to society if it goes unpunished because it sets the example that the truth is irrelevant in a court of law. Burglary is far worse and ought to be punished severely. And no, I don't think it makes a difference if it is a private citizen or an elected official.

Both are equally immoral... cheating on one's spouse is not illegal, but highly immoral... stealing is highly illegal AND immoral. Paying someone else to either or both is, well you get the point.
if an elected official does something of this nature, it sets a poor example for those they lead. Is it any wonder this country is falling apart at the seams? Look at the myriad poor examples being set for us and our children. The best we can hope to do is simply set a stronger example for our children and pray that they do not follow the Jones's and the Politicians.

"When the money is all 'spent up', they are Left still feeling the ramifications, (or symptoms) of the disease." "Second. No regrets to DISHONOR one self." "There are also occurrences of either giving or accepting a BRIBE to falsify information, or to give a false testimony." If you are referring to Watergate, remember that Nixon did some good things. He was able to set up the release of our POWs from the torture prisons in Vietnam. That was a great time in our history. (if you were alive back then) Many of the young posters on Y*A do not really know the facts of history while they swear to know all about US politics.

The liar who breaks in and steals is a greater danger to society, because he is likely doing so to fuel a drug or alcohol habit. Breaking in also shows little regard for the physical safety of others.

The obvious answer is the B & E man, and it doesn't matter to whether or not their an elected official. Against the law is against the law.

Both are equally immoral.

It matters not whether it is a common man, an elected official or a celebrity.

The spouse cheater is more immoral.

1. Stealing something from a stranger does not have an immediate / negative reaction on every member in your family if your caught.
2. Cheating on your spouse though will never leave the mind of anyone in your family for the rest of their life.

Stealing is against the law, marital infidelity is not. So society thinks that stealing is worse and so do I.
