I have a HP Pavilion a6112n PC with these specs:
* Motherboard manufacturer's name: Asus M2N68-LA
* HP/Compaq name: Narra2-GL8E

and I was curious as to whether or not my motherboard can handle a Thermaltake TR2 W0070RUC ATX 430W Power Supply 115/230 V, because I have heard that certain HP motherboards can only handle up to a 250W power supply.

Please, any help on the matter would be greatly appreciated.

You've misunderstood what you heard.

What you've actually heard is about the power supply FITTING inside your existing case. Those 250W power supplies are small and custom made for HP cases. A larger power supply may not fit in the case. It has nothing to do with the mainboard.

A power supply simply provides power, and the computer draws what it needs from the power supply. There is no problem with having "more" power then the computer requires. There would be a problem if the power supply is to small and can't provide the needed power.

Hope that this answers your question.

500w is probable sufficient, yet i might get 650+w, just to be secure. continuously make optimistic it is 80+ qualified, and ideally extra effective than bronze point. it is recommended to get a severe-end, modular PSU so which you will no longer could substitute it once you improve your hardware lower back.
