No.....this site is for everyone and any one and everyone should have the right to say anything they #(&%)$ want. It's those of you who choose to think somethings too harsh or over the edge that gets the question or the answer pulled off of here. Which I think is wrong to do. Ya, there are some sicko's out there but hell if you want to get sucked into giving someone some cheap thrills by answering them then go right ahead.
My "main problem" with questions and answers if I'm honest is I think there are people out there that just love to confront people who believe in God and will jump at the chance to put there beliefs and God down when that type of question is asked. I believe that. But it doesn't mean that I want to see them stop putting religous questions or atheists questions or those who don't believe's questions on the site.
Yes, sometimes some questions piss me off. SO! Grow up and deal with it........this is the world in which we live. This is the REAL reality, it's the real thing, not some stupid a*s TV show!!!

Yes. I avoid questions in which the asker's goal appears to be something unethical or immoral or in which I would be doing harm by answering the question. Questions in which the asker appears to be attempting to get through a homework assignment without learning the material show up often and are examples of questions that should not be answered.

There have definitely been times that I have refrained from answering, either because I thought the person asking was too close-minded to consider another possibility or because I figured I might start a fight. One guy sent me email for two weeks trying to convince me I was wrong, and then claimed that I was being difficult so he wasn't going to email me anymore. I'd rather avoid a repeat of that if possible.

If you're going to answer a question for the sole purpose of being rude, insincere, or a smart***, then yes, people should avoid answering certain questions.
Some people ask questions that they really want answers to. If you have a meaningful answer to those questions, by all means answer them.

I avoid answering some questions on Y!A. I don't answer questions that are so poorly worded / presented that they are not understandable. I don't answer questions in which the asker is simply looking for someone to agree with them or take their side in an argument, or who does not want the truth. I don't answer questions that begin with "Do you agree that . . . " I don't answer questions (especially on R&S) that are clearly designed to entrap or to ridicule the person who answers sincerely.

Absolutely....if your Q/A is personal and someone is looking you could accidentally hurt feelings there, or allow other's answers to just make matters far worse if that's the nature of it. If that's the case, you'll probably not get the answer you needed, and just get egg on your face in the end.

Definitely, and I do. I don't ever want to be responsible for hurting someone because I answered a question regarding medical advice, legal advice, marital advice or answer a question asked by someone with a fragile mind.

yes there are some questions that should just be left alone, because they are too stupid, and of course a person with half a brain is likely to have a sarcastic dig.
No this is not a stupid question - its one I think about myself every day.
I dont like stomping on peoples feelings all the time...
