I have taken 3 hpt tests in the last week, and they are all positive. i took the first one on Sunday night and it was a very faint +, the second one yesterday afternoon and it was darker and then again last night with my husband and it was dark as well. My AF was due on 11/11 and the last time i had it was 10/13-10/18. I am not that late, so it would very early on in the preg. i see the doc on Friday, but has anyone ever had a false positive?

False Positives are rare, and to get 3 false postives would be even more rare than winning the lottery 3 days in a row...lol

There really isn't anything as a false postive. The only time you would get a positvie result and not be pregnant is if you just had a baby or miscarriage within 6 weeks. You could get something that APPEARS to be a positive line (called an evaporation line) if you don't read the test in the right amount of time, but as long as you followed the directions, I'd say you're pregnant :) Congrats!

With 3 positive tests, yes, you are pregnant - Congrats! I had one positive hpt and felt pregnant and only took that one test. I started having severe cramping and strange bleeding and went to the hospital thinking I was having a miscarriage just to find out that I was never pregnant. The month after that, I took 3 tests, which were all positive and now I'm 17 weeks pregnant. Congrats again to you!

You are totally pregnant! You CAN and obviously DID get a positive on a HPT before you period is due.

Yes because it's possible but very uncommon to have the hcg hormone in your system.If your not pregnant , it could be due to many different factors so I say going to the doctor is the best bet. I've had that happen before but I had a tubal litigation and that's why mine read positive

I've only ever heard of false negitives so I think you are definatly pregnant.....
