MM? that sounds like it could be a solution :)
As far as the tax on booze is concerned I think it's a waste of time. It;s the same as putting the price of cigarettes up for the last ? years...people who want to smoke will moan about it...and continue buying them.
Think again Mr Brown...

ahh yes but your observation is flawed ,as if the price of fuel is increased and we cant afford to go to work so we cant afford the booze ,less goods get into the shops forcing the price of fuel higher and Gordon Brown will get less in tax ha ha what a good idea after all

Why then do the countries with low tax levels have lower drink related problems some 88% of Britons drank alcohol in the last year, ahead of the French at 86% and the Germans at 70%.

Down with taxes on alcohol! I don't drive, but if they wanted to cut off the drinking and driving stuff they could just re-enstate the Prohibition that banned alcohol in the 1920's?

The smart thanks to attempt that is via a calorie tax which may be supplemented through a nutrition tax. we may be able to really tax human beings out of weight problems and into in good structure and trim. fat human beings will be considered as tax protesters and characteristic to pay extra for each little thing from airline seats to movie tickets. this theory is a liberals dream come real, the most suitable habit administration style.
