I miss my best buddy Bobby, he is still in the Middle East and has a good bit of time to go. We get to chat here and there online and I get a phone call fom him here and there. =(

I am so sorry your missing your friend !!! It does hurt to be away from a good friend. I miss my good friend too. She lives on the other end of the US . She has been ill and I wish I could be there for her.
We try to email almost every day and call once a week that helps a lot. Not quite the same but we can still laugh and enjoy talking together. Take care.

Yup...makes me sad actually because it's happened to me twice already with my so called "best friends". My first best friend and I were practically glued together, never a moment apart until she moved out of town. But yet we kept in contact still, but became less and less thru time. I called her about 3 years ago when I found out I was pregnant and she never called me back. I lost that baby, but still no call nothing. Until about a month ago I ran into her ex husband and he dialed her phone for me and we talked for like 5 minutes. Said she misses me and blah blah and we could get together that next week, she'd be in town. Never happened, never called.
My next "best friend" lives in the same town, not even far from my house, we used to hang out alllllll the time and hasn't talked to me since April. I wasn't gonna give in but I just had to ask what her problem was, why she was mad at me and had just stopped talking to me. She called me back and left a v-mail saying she was never mad but has just been busy with the kids. I'm sure kids can be a handful and going to school is hard, but having ZERO time to even chat a little? I would have thought she'd be super excited for me when I told her we were finally expecting a baby.
What makes me sad is that when they were having problems with guys or whatever I was always there. I would drop whatever I was doing just to be there for them. But oh well, que sera sera, right?

yes. My wonderful horse who was my favorite friend for almost 24 years passed away last December and I miss him terribly.

Yes I sure am! Mr. NIF had to go out of town for a family funeral & he has only been gone for a couple of hours, but I miss him already!!!
