Yes there can be true friendship between men and women...I have lots of guy friends that are like my brothers and don't have any sexual interest in them because First of all I have known them since we were in preschool and so I know LOTS of stuff about each of them including people they have been with or whatever and plus they have always treated me like their sister so there is no way in the world that we would do anything. Even if we thought about it it would just be weird!! Kind of gross! =D

yes, my best friend is a guy. He has never given the slightest indication of being sexually attracted to me. I have never seen him in a sexual way either. Seriously, he is sorta like the brother I never had. I think he feels the same. People make a big deal out of it when he gives me a kiss or I give him a kiss, but its always on the cheek, and never means anything.

Yes, I believe it because I have a friend like that. No sexual feelings, nothing. I'd marry the guy if I was attracted, just because he has ALWAYS been there for me and I love him, even if it's just as a brother.

Yes, my friends have always included guys who are (or @ least *seem*) completely platonic & my SO has had female friends who have been platonic as well. I'll admit that there is usually *some* sexual/romantic interest in male-female friendships, but not in every case.

I know that it exists. Some of the best friends that I have ever had have been men. They had no sexual interest in me nor me in them.

Yes I believe that. I have friendships with males and there is no sexual interest on either side.

There's no reason it can't. But in teenage boys, you never know.
Don't forget that there are gay men and lesbian women out there that don't express sexual interest in their opposite sex and are a candidate for true friendship. I'm surprised that no one said this.
