Absolutely! Both of my children loo had pimples, dry skin and sopping wet chins when they were teething. Just put a bib on him and try to clean his little chin up as much as possible.

Also, Pedialyte makes a great frozen pop to ease his gums. Check with the pediatrician first of course... but should help.

Yep. My daughter had the same thing and my son also gets little pimples from spitting up in his sleep. Children's skin is very sensitive like that. Even my daughter, who is 5, needs to wash her face every night or she has little break outs from the dirt and stuff that gets into her pores. We joke that she is a teenager already! Just keep his face washed, but don't let it dry out because then it will just chap. Try a little Vaseline on his chin and blot when he has too much drool. That can sometimes protect the skin from all the drool. Good luck!

Yes!Yes!Yes!
I battled my daughter's drool rash forever when she was younger. She is 11 months now, and she would always break out on her chubby cheeks.
There are a few things you can do. You can use hydrocortizone cream 3 times a day if it isn't too close to his mouth. Also, regular diaper rash cream can be used as well. If it becomes really bad, or seems sore, the doctor can prescibe something to put on it.

My first drooled like a faucet also and had little red bumps. My second, no drool, but he did have the little red bumps. My third has been half and half. The first tooth, lots of drool and no bumps, now 8 teeth later, no drool and a few bumps. Teething can be so crazy!

Yep, just carry a cloth diaper around a spot dry him often.
You may need to ask the doctor about using a product on his face for chapping/chaffing if it gets worse. They may even have you use chap stick or vasiline.

Most definitely. That is not very uncommon. Just like a kid who licks his lips too much in the winter and gets very chapped. Just try to keep the acidic juices (orange juices) down and keep his chin dry

yes it is common for little red bumps to appear around the mouth and of course if he likes the pacifier and it cups his face it will tend to break out more. It will eventually clear up so there is no need to worry its just apart of him getting those lil chompers!!

My daughter had the same rash (dribble rash) caused by teething. She itched liked crazy even in her sleep for months. Her doctor said there was nothing for it. I researched it on www.webmd.com and found a cream from a pharmacy in Austria and it worked miracle's within 2 days. It is very safe they can eat it even get it in their eyes and it don't hurt them. Try it , its great.

Yes, the saliva can cause little bumps to form that's why it is important to use a burp cloth or soft cloth and wipe it up often or even use a washcloth to wipe his face. Good luck!

Yes. The moisture. No big deal. Try and keep him dry and use a good natural chapstick on his lips. Good luck!
