i is the square root of -1.
i^2 is -1.
i^3 is -1*sqrt(-1) or -sqrt(-1).
i^4 is -1^2 or 1.
i^5 is the sqrt(-1).
i^6 is -1.
i^7 is -sqrt(-1)
i^8 is 1
and so on. See the pattern? Following this pattern go all the way to 107 or 444. Every multiple of 4 is going to be equal to 1. Every multiple of 4 plus one is equal to sqrt(-1). Every multiple of 4 plus 2 equals -1.

i = sqroot(-1)

i^1 = sqroot(-1)
i^2 = -1
i^3 = -1sqroot(-1)
i^4 = (-1)(-1) = 1

i^5 = sqroot(-1)
and so on...

this is a repeating pattern, so you need to figure out which of the four dif. answers you get.

try i^26
26/4 = 6, remainder 2
the remainder is what matters - since it's remainder 2 then i^26 is the same as i^2, which is -1
