a few possible scenarios come to mind.
One is that Stacy is in hiding, possibly for killing her husband's 3rd wife.
Do you agree or disagree?

These are the points I am basing my speculation on:
#1) Sgt Peterson has an airtight alibi for the time that his ex wife was murdered. Have the police also gotten an alibi from Stacy? The former wife filed for an order of protection after she learned that her husband was seeing Stacy. However, SHE was charged with domestic abuse multiple times.

#2) Stacy's mother disappeared 8 years ago and has not come forward, even when her daughter's face is plastered all over the news. There is evidence that she is still alive. Her brother was coming out of prison for a sexual offense, before he got home, he was arrested again on a parole violation.

#3) Stacy has gotten angry and left the home on several occasions, leaving her children behind. Her husband says she took cash, her passport and a bikini.

Do you think this 23 year old mother just got overwhelmed with having 2 small children and took off? With all the search efforts, including dogs, why haven't they found a single clue?

Littlere... you have to keep in mind that Sgt Peterson is a trained cop with many years under his belt. He has been trianed not to show emotion. If she did, in fact, leave him for another man that could be why he acts like he doesn't care.

hmmm. very good.. you got me thinking.. however based on statistics and blah blah blah... he did it.. hence lacy peterson. and jesse davis case. and a whole bunch of other ones. however your story sounds like a lifetime movie and im sure it would be a hit. but i think mr sgt is a bad person.

No I do not think she is in hiding, based on the following,
from a criminal profiler

"Drew Peterson's wife goes missing. He claims she left him for another guy. He also claims their marriage is good. Now, let's assume he really believes this to be true.
His reaction should be:
1) I am pissed as hell; she has broken my heart
2) I am pissed as hell; she has deserted her children.

Peterson seems to not even care his wife is missing.

Now, it has been quite a while since his wife has not contacted anyone. Her cell phone hasn't been used since she "left."
His reaction should be:
1) Now, I am worried as hell. Maybe something DID happen to her after she called me and my children may never get their mother back.
Peterson only cares that the media is "harassing" his children and frightening them. Apparently, the fact the children don't know where there mother has gone isn't a concern to him

Wrong reactions. No good explanation why Peterson should act this way. Verdict: he makes a good suspect in the disappearance of his wife"

I don't know cheesey, sounds like this Drew guy is pretty shady with his history. All of her family said she would never have left her kids - they obviously have never heard of her leaving without them before, or i don't think they would have been so quick to report her missing.

And remember the aunt said Stacey had spoken to her several times about being scared of Drew?

What bothers me most is, why isn't Drew the least bit worried? Are we supposed to believe she's done this before just because he said it?

I guess it will all come out in the wash, I hate it for her two kids though

No. There are not many unanswered questions. There is only 1 unanswered question: Where is she?
