First - disconnect any printers from the computer, then go to Control Panel, Add Remove Programs, and remove any installed software for printers.
Second, restart computer in safe mode (tap F8 key on startup, select safe mode), log in as Administrator.
Click Start > Run > type "command" without the quotes, hit Enter. You will get a command prompt.
In the command windows, type "net stop spooler", wait. When the command prompt comes back, minimize the command window (don't close it).
Right click on "My Computer", select Properties, click Hardware Tab, click Device Manager. Click "view" at top, select "Show Hidden Devices".
Find and remove in the list anything pertaining to printers. Close the Device Manager.
Go back to the command window. Type "net start spooler".
The "net stop spooler" and "net start spooler" may not do anything in safe mode, they are just in case, don't worry if they tell you they can't complete the operation.
Go to the start menu, printers, remove anything listed there.
Restart the computer, start installing the software for the printer you want WITHOUT the printer connected to the computer. Connect it when the computer tells you to.
Hope that helps.

You can delete the ones you don't need (press CTRL key while clicking on printers you want to get rid off then hit DEL key) or leave them alone but do this. Right click on the one you want the click on "Set As Default Printer"

Control Panel
Printers and Faxes icon
Right click on each printer you want to get rid of and select "delete"
It will uninstall them for you.
Some of the printers may ask if you want to delete the files (drivers) for it. Answer "yes" if asked

Simply delete them. Click the icon and hit delete. I would recommend deleting them all and then re-installing the one you would like to print to.
