Forgive me if you read my Hep C post..

My bf work in a hospital and MAY have been exposed to Hep C yesterday. Long story short he was cutting part of a catherdar tube after a procedure (they save the platinum tips and send them back to the company for money) and he felt something hit his eye...the tube had been in a woman who is Hep C positive. They will not know if he has it for at least 3 months...maybe 6 so now we have to use condoms.
We have been together for 6 months, I have been on birth control for years.
How big of a difference is it with a condom? Hopefully he will still be able to enjoy the sex! Is it THAT big of a deal...also maybe some recomendations of condom brands...

It isn't that big of a deal. Also, with all of the different brands and styles that are out now you should be able to have fun with it. Like the ones with the warming lubricant, and so on. Trust me, it is different, but he still won't turn it down just becasue he has to wear a condom. Be safe though and make sure he wears it everytime!!!

there is a huge difference.... think of putting your hand in the warm soapy sink water... you can feel the difference between a glass, spoon, fork, plate, ect very easily by touch... now put on a kitchen glove... notice how the warmth has dulled, the wetness is gone, the plates and glasses feel the same, the fork and spoon not so forky and spoony...

condoms suck... but so does working 9-5 and driving the speed limit... somethings have to be done to make society a safer place... same goes for him... suck it up until proven safe... and next time... follow procedures and put some damn splash glasses on...

good luck...

ps... get the ribbed condoms... you'll be getting a bonus out of the deal... he will just have to suffer

You should wait for results. Too risky. To answer your question, is does not feel the same with a condom. Condoms take away from the overall pleasure and satisfaction we get from sex. I am not saying that they are a bad thing. I am just saying that the simple fact we know it is there mentally takes away from the experience.

thats gotta be hard to go through. yes it is that big of a deal, even when using birth control that doesnt prevent you from getting an std or hep. c. some brands to go by are trojan and durex, just make sure they arent the thin ones, they tend to break easily.

If it's a choice of a condom or no action, my guess is that he'll love a condom. You can help by making it part of the routine, rather than treating it as an interruption. Try putting it on him yourself, for example.

Of course he will be able to. If he loses a bit of sensitivity he will last longer and that will be good for you. A large part of intercourse isn't just the feeling in his sex organ it is the thrusting. The thrusting alone is very satisfying.

First of all how the hell can women answer this question? It's not that big of a difference if you don't mind not feeling any sensation. It's a lot like eating a steak with a balloon on your tongue!

Anytime you change or add to the body structure there is a different in the feeling,( less feeling in the penis and more lube has to be used)but you need to concentrate on safe sex.

Trojan and Durex are good. Yes he'll feel a difference and you should too. If he doesn't have a problem with Preemie, this will be close to ridiculous for you; if he does, expects him to last longer...Enjoy.
(Only if he doesn't put them on inside out, of course)

Ok would you point a loaded gun at your head an pull the trigger . Then put a condom on his head till you find out . Rather be safe than sorry .
