Has anyone experienced anything weird at the age of 25? I am going through this panic and I can't really pinpoint what I am panicing about. My thoughts are scattered and I can't seem to get my brain to spit out the right words.
Someone told me that when they hit 25, they freaked out. That is only a few months away for me. Has anyone else gone through anything like this?

Just wait until you turn 50! I have freaked out so many times now that I can't even remember my own phone number.

25... well i am 23 and since i just got kicked out of nursing school after 5 1/2 yrs, i will prob be 25 by the time I get a bachelors degree. Makes me feel so old, by the age of 25 a lot of ppl have PhD's and are making 6 figure salaries. I am getting close to 25 and I haven't accomplished anything in life. I think a midlife crisis happens when ur 25, and not 50. I wish I could be 15 again.... I don't wanna get fat, old, and ugly and have to act all mature, I just wanna do whatever I feel like. Ur panicking coz ur turning 25 and I am already panicking and I am not even 25 yet

That happened to me when I turned 23. I wouldn't say I freaked out, it was just a bad year for me. Everything that could possibly go wrong that year did. I turn 25 next month and I am not freaking out yet. I probably will on my birthday but I have been reflecting on how much I have grown into an adult. I feel much more wise than I ever have and I am learning from the mistakes I have made in the past. I could choose to freak out because I am another year closer to death. But this year I am going to focus on the positives in my life. Besides, I look forward to my thirties because I hope to finally have my head on straight.

I have heard of this. I'm past 25. I think it has to do with growing up. You can't act like a kid anymore. It looks immature and irresponsible. It's kind of scarey but you will get through it if you are patient. I think I was a little late. I remember feeling it when I hit 27.

I did. I went through a really rough year at 25 - a major relationship broke up, I had to move, find a roommate, and just a general evaluation of my life circumstances. It was definitely a tough time. But, I came out of it in a really great way and good stuff has happened since.
It just seems like 25 is a point where you realize "oh, i'm really a grown-up now". and you start really defining who you are in terms of your career and your personal life.

Yes, it was hard for me too. I think that this is the age when you finally realize that you've stopped growing up and are now just growing older. It's pretty depressing, I know. Don't worry though because now they say 50 is the new 30, so I guess that makes you about 5 :) I guess we were born at the right time!

I'll be 26 at the end of the week and I can definitely attest to this! I think it's just a matter of the whole "real world" sinking in... knowing you are truly on your own and trying to figure out just what life is all about... for you!
I just bought a house and have had a "real job" for three years. it's sinking in that the bills never go away and that life is just what you make it. if you can deal with those two facts, then you'll be just fine!! just be sure to surround yourself with people who are supportive and you should have nothing to worry about.

Sounds to me like these panicky feelings/episodes you're having are probably the result of the fact that you're getting divorced. Even if it's subconsciously, you're probably wondering how you're going to make it on your own, without a partner, support your kids, etc.

Separate from age. Go to the doctor and express your concern. Seriously - no biggie.
