When you saw him back then, would you have ever imagined that he would get himself in so much trouble?

Hmm, sounds like he's been hanging out with Rick James.

Bad Boy George! Weren't you the one that asked the burning question, "Do you really want to hurt me?"

Maybe he'll be the next one to star in a VH1 reality dating show... Chains of Love! Too perfect! They may need to get permission from Erasure to use that though.

I knew about the drugs. By 1986, when the group's popularity was fading and Boy George was becoming better known for his drug problems than any music he was making, it was clear there was more trouble ahead. He had the right personality for excessive behavior and it's not too surprising he started using drugs. Besides, he was the only member of Culture Club anybody knew about or even cared about. How many people can name the other members of that group? For those who don't know, they were Jon Moss, Roy Hay, and Mikey Craig.

i'm no longer in my 20's, and Boy George is a large occasion of a singer, that i do no longer choose for to admit to making a music alongside with. So no i think of he replaced right into a severe flamer, yet i did no longer choose for to break him.

When I saw him then? No. But I was about 11 in 1986, so I really didn't know gay or cocaine.

Now, I'm not too surprised looking back on it. A lot of things are hard about being gay and being famous and having a drug problem. He probably wasn't going to be like Michael Jordan or something.

I don't know, maybe it's just me, but one would think that he could use that "I'm Boy George" line and pretty much get whatever he wanted without chaining people up. Then again, myabe the gay community is not infatuated with celebrity.

Well, kinda sorta. Once the calender got to about 1986, his cocaine issue was well known. In fact, he was tabloid fodder for the time that he was on verge of death. The fact that he's still with us is miraculous. But no, I wouldn't have picked him as "that guy" when I started hearing his crappy music. Yes, he sucked hardcore and was the MCR of my junior high school years.

WOW!

I could maybe, possibly see it coming to a certain extent, but I never would have predicted this much. I guess the moral is that if Boy George asks you to come back to his place, you should run like hell!

Ah, people are people and ANYONE is capable of doing ANYTHING. Georgie Boy is no exception, unfortunately for him his every move is hounded by the media.
Hey, how many of you can honestly say you've never chained a man to a wall in your own home? ...that reminds me I've got to feed...

He appeared to be lost but innocent. I think his life decisions reflect weakness and not malice.
