Pick a verse.

It's like that, you know it's like that
I got it hemmed, now you never get the mic back
When I attack, there ain't an army that could strike back
So I react never calmly on a hype track
I set it off wit my own rhyme
Cuz I'm as ill as a convict who kills for phone time
I'm max like cassettes, I flex like sex
In your stereo sets, Nas will catch wreck
I used to hustle, now all I do is relax and strive
When I was young, I was a fan of the Jackson 5
I drop jewels, wear jewels hope to never run it
Wit more kicks than a baby in a mother's stomach
Nasty Nas has to rise, kid, surprise
This is exercise til the microphone dies
Back in '83, I was an MC sparking
But I was too scared to grab the mics in the parks and
Kick my little raps cuz I thought ****** wouldn't understand
And now in every jam I'm the ****** man
I rap in front of more ****** than in the slave ships
I used to watch C.H.i.P.S, now I load glock clips
I got to have it, I miss Mr. Magic
Versatile, my style switches like a ******
But not a bisexual, I'm an intellectual
Of rap, I'm a professional but that's no question, yo
These are the lyrics of the man, you can't narrate, understand
Cuz in the streets, I'm well known like the number man
In my place wit the bass and format
Explore rap and tell me Nas ain't all that
And next time I rhyme, I be foul whenever I freestyle
I see trial ****** say I'm wild
I hate a rhymebiter's rhyme
Stay tuned, Nas, soon the real rap comes at halftime

2pac "Changes" Verse 1 & 2

Verse 1
I see no changes all I see is racist faces
misplaced hate makes disgrace to races
We under I wonder what it takes to make this
one better place, let's erase the wasted
Take the evil out the people they'll be acting right
'cause both black and white is smokin' crack tonight
and only time we chill is when we kill each other
it takes skill to be real, time to heal each other
And although it seems heaven sent We ain't ready, to see a black President, uhh
It ain't a secret don't conceal the fact
the penitentiary's packed, and it's filled with blacks
But some things will never change
try to show another way but you stayin' in the dope game
Now tell me what's a mother to do bein' real don't appeal to the brother in you
You gotta operate the easy way
"I made a G today" But you made it in a sleazy way
sellin' crack to the kid. " I gotta get paid,"
Well hey, well that's the way it is

Adlib
We gotta make a change...
It's time for us as a people to start makin' some changes.
Let's change the way we eat, let's change the way we live
and let's change the way we treat each other.
You see the old way wasn't working so it's on us to do
what we gotta do, to survive.

Verse 2
And still I see no changes can't a brother get a little peace
It's war on the streets & the war in the Middle East
Instead of war on poverty they got a war on drugs so the police can bother me
And I ain't never did a crime I ain't have to do
But now I'm back with the blacks givin' it back to you
Don't let 'em jack you up, back you up, crack you up and pimp slap you up
You gotta learn to hold ya own
they get jealous when they see ya with ya mobile phone
But tell the cops they can't touch this
I don't trust this when they try to rush I bust this
That's the sound of my tool you say it ain't cool my mama didn't raise no fool
And as long as I stay black I gotta stay strapped & I never get to lay back
'Cause I always got to worry 'bout the pay backs
some buck that I roughed up way back comin' back after all these years
rat-a-tat-tat-tat-tat that's the way it is uhh

Inspectah Deck on Wu Tangs song Triumph

I bomb atomically, Socrates' philosophies
and hypothesis can't define how I be droppin these
mockeries, lyrically perform armed robbery
Flee with the lottery, possibly they spotted me
Battle-scarred shogun, explosion when my pen hits
tremendous, ultra-violet shine blind forensics
I inspect you, through the future see millenium
Killa B's sold fifty gold sixty platinum
Shacklin the masses with drastic rap tactics
Graphic displays melt the steel like blacksmiths
Black Wu jackets queen B's ease the guns in
Rumble with patrolmen, tear gas laced the function
Heads by the score take flight incite a war
Chicks hit the floor, diehard fans demand more
Behold the bold soldier, control the globe slowly
Proceeds to blow swingin swords like Shinobi
Stomp grounds and pound footprints in solid rock
Wu got it locked, performin live on your hottest block

Early morning, sunrise, eyes wide open/ standing over a murdered body with the blood soaking/ no feeling, no love, no emotions/ some things are better left unsaid, you learn more through the unspoken/ aware of the path that was paved/ for me by my ancestors, but I refuse to work like a slave/ dreams of success, living in a fully furnished loft/ I don’t walk like these ******, I’m cut from a different cloth/ no I don’t wear the tight pants with the chain on the belt, no Rock star look, no hoodie with the skeleton/ I rather be in a black tee, blue jeans, black nikes, surrounded by thugs who drug peddling/ I was born in the belly of the beast, walked firmly through the streets, and now I’m just getting settled in/ mindset of Nino Brown in his prime, cancel a ***** at the drop of a dime, the fiends are sick, and I’ll provide them with medicine/ this is that uncut, raw, that hardcore/ standing next to Satan, as we prepare for God’s war/ face up, better watch how you play your cards or/ end up face down, on the ground, or laying on the hard floor/ seeing his face stare down the barrel/ I say a prayer before I squeeze the trigger, hoping he keeps his eye on the sparrow/ hard enough to walk the straight and narrow/ when all your detractors stop tossing darts and begin shooting arrows/ some ****** want to run the city, I came for the atlas/ keep shooters on the roof, and the others at the range getting practice/

that is easily the best guest spot of 2006. and possibly the best verse of 2006. rugged man DESTROYS that track. and thing that hits home the most is the last part about the diseases. all of his siblings (and maybe even him) are handicapped from his dad being in the vietnam war and being exposed to agent orange and stuff. that is all very real. that verse owns. rugged man is grimey as fu#k. but its not the best ever

2PAC- Life Goes On verse 3

Bury me smilin'
with G's in my pocket
have a party at my funeral
let every rapper rock it
let tha hoes that I usta know
from way before
kiss me from my head to my toe
give me a paper and a pen
so I can write about my life of sin
a couple bottles of Gin
incase I don't get in
tell all my people i'm a Ridah
nobody cries when we die
we outlaws
let me ride
until I get free
I live my life in tha fast lane
got police chasen me
to my ****** from old blocks
from old crews
****** that guided me through
back in tha old school
pour out some liquor
have a toast for tha homies
see we both gotta die
but ya chose to go before me
and brothas miss ya while your gone
you left your ***** on his own
how long we mourn
life goes on...

Visualizin the realism of life and actuality/
**** who's the baddest a person's status depends on salary/
And my mentality is, money orientated
I'm destined to live the dream for all my peeps who never made it/
cause yeah, we were beginners in the hood as five percenters
But somethin must of got in us cause all of us turned to sinners/
Now some, restin in peace and some are sittin in San Quentin/
Others such as myself are tryin to carry on tradition/
Keepin the schwepervesence street ghetto essence inside us/
Cause it provides us with the proper insight to guide us/
Even though, we know somehow we all gotta go/
but as long as we leavin thievin we'll be leavin with some kind of dough/
so, and to that day we expire and turn to vapors/
me and my capers-ll be somewhere stackin plenty papers/
Keepin it real, packin steel, gettin high
Cause life's a ***** and then you die!!

Straight out the slaughterhouse straight out the dragon's mouth
Fire you can't put out tires are standin' out
The coupe look pigeon-toed I be in a different mode
I be wit' them different hoes No I mean them different hoes
I mean them Weezy bumbaclot different hoes
And as far as terrific goes
They kiss that dick wit' no mistletoes
Diamonds and pearls and pussyholes snortin' coke til they nose bleed
I'm sittin' high on them inches I'm in the nosebleeds
I'm on a paper chase until my toes bleed
Then I get on these beats and let my soul bleed
I put 'em in ya head and watch the holes bleed
My rag always red like when them hoes bleed
Now that's coldbleed I mean cold blooded
And I'm so southern that's why my leather so soft
