Click on File=>Save As. A box will appear with a space at the bottom for you to type the filename, and with a space at the top which tells you where it is about to be saved. Click on the downward-pointing triangle at the end of this space. You should see a list of various places, including various disks with different letters and titles, such as "Local Disk C:" or "DVD-ROM Drive D:" (or possibly other letters). If your memory stick is plugged into the computer, one of these should be called "Removable Disk" with a letter in brackets after it. Choose this by clicking on it. Then make up a name for the file, type it into the space at the bottom and click on OK. You will need to do a similar thing when you want to load it from the stick again.

Plug in your memory stick, in Word choose File, Save As, at the top of the Save dialog, drop down the list of directories and you should find your memory stick as a drive, maybe E or F, select that and save.
If you don't recognise it on the Save As, open My Computer and look at the choices there, perhaps unplugging the memory stick to see what disappears.

only move it 2 a pc that has word 07 or it won't work. If it doesnt have 07 save it as a document 97 - 03 in the drop down list on the save as menu. Back to your point, if you go on my computer, then find what your usb stick is called save it under that.

Open the document.
File---> Save As
Click on the little arrow in the drop down box at the top of the window
Select the Memory Stick drive. It might have (F) in it or USBDISK or something along the lines of that.
Then save it :)

Make sure your memery stick is recognized by windows and shown up in My Computer. To check to see any new drive letter in my computer. Within word 07, browse to that drive instead of default folder which My Document and save like normal. Or save to default folder then later right click on the file, select Copy (CTRL-C) then go to your Memory stick and paste or hit CTRL-V

Go to my documents (or wherever you saved it) and right click it and click copy
Then go to my computer and find your memory stick open it and right click in the white area and choose paste.
Just a bit of advice aswell.... Doucuments created on Word 07 wont work on older versions of Word unless you save them in compatability mode as a Word 97-2003 document ;)
Good luck with the transfer it should work
Alternative way:
Open your work in Word and go to save as, when the window opens choose my computer from the drop down menu, find your memory stick and open it and click save :D

Insert your memory stick into your computer. If you are running windows xp, it should recognize the new device. You should then be able to do File, Save As, and choose the device.
If this does not work, try opening my computer, locating the word doc, highlight and choose edit, copy. Then navigate to the memory stick and choose edit paste to copy the document.
Hope this helps!
