We love decorating just after Halloween. lol. But if you're going to decorate you'd want a fake tree. Yea you wont get the really cool smell but it looks like a real tree, there are no pine needles everywhere, you don't have to water it, no fire hazards, and it lasts for as long as you need it. If you really like the smell you can buy a real wreath (sp?) and/or get these baskets at the craft store that smell like a tree. It's never too early to put up christmas decorations and a tree!

We put up our interior decorations about 10-15 days before Christmas. They are up way before Christmas and we don't get tired of looking at them. They come down shortly after Christmas while we are still on vacation and have the time to do it.
We don't put out any outdoor decorations. A wreath on the door, perhaps, but that's it.

I started already. Put on my Christmas music, cleaned up and went to the store to get red ribbons. I took my table top tree out but its awfully small so I am gonna get another one!
Rocking around the Christmas tree have a happy holiday!
Everyone dancing merrily in the yultide fashion way!

We have a tradition to put it up the day after Thanksgiving. I dont want the added stress to fight the shoppers so I stay home and decorate. The kids love it and cannot wait!

The rule is that you put up Christmas decorations two weeks before (December 11th) and take them down two weeks after (January 8th).
If you put them up before or leave them up after those dates, it's supposed to be bad luck. Merry Christmas!

Well, we always do it on the 1st of December if it falls on a weekend, or the weekend before if it falls during the week. I'd have it all up now if we could, lol!
