Wouldn't a social security card combined with photo i.d. work? If it's not, why do we simply not repair the existing infrastructure? Wouldn't a new form of i.d. be just as corruptable as the old? Why not just utilize biometric technology such as eye scans?

We don't need an national ID card. Even the SS cards should be done away with.

Let the states issue their own ID cards in the form of drivers licenses.

I know its a pesky little thing to neocons, but states rights are important to a Republic consisting of 50 individual states across 5 time zones.

I don't need it, I know who I am and the people who need to know who I am already know. This is one of the few times the Conservatives are nearly as evil as the Liberal Democrats

We don't. We could simply enact a federal minimum standard for state IDs, for instance.
