Water vs. Coke
What would YOU like to drink?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
WATER

75% of Americans are chronically dehydrated. (This likely applies to half the world population.)

In 37% of Americans, the thirst mechanism is so weak that it is often mistaken for hunger.

Even MILD dehydration will slow down one's metabolism as much as 3%.

One glass of water will shut down midnight hunger pangs for almost 100% of the dieters studied (in a University of Washington study).

Lack of water is the #1 trigger of daytime fatigue.

Preliminary research indicates that 8 to 10 glasses of water a day could significantly ease back and joint pain for up to 80% of sufferers.

A mere 2% drop in body water can trigger fuzzy short-term memory, trouble with basic math, and difficulty focusing on the computer screen or on a printed page.

Drinking 5 glasses of water daily decreases the risk of colon cancer by 45%, plus it can slash the risk of breast cancer by 79%, and one is 50% less likely to develop bladder cancer.

COKE

In many states the highway patrol carries two gallons of Coke in the trunk to remove blood from the highway after a car accident.

You can put a T-bone steak in a bowl of Coke and it will be gone in two days.

To clean a toilet: Pour a can of Coca-Cola into the toilet bowl and let the "real thing" sit for one hour, then flush clean. The citric acid in Coke removes stains from vitreous china.

To remove rust spots from chrome car bumpers: Rub the bumper with a rumpled-up piece of aluminum foil dipped in Coca-Cola.

To clean corrosion from car battery terminals: Pour a can of Coca-Cola over the terminals to bubble away the corrosion.

To loosen a rusted bolt: Applying a cloth soaked in Coca-Cola to the rusted bolt for several minutes.

To bake a moist ham: Empty a can of Coca-Cola into the baking pan, wrap the ham in aluminum foil, and bake. Thirty minutes before the ham is finished, remove the foil, allowing the drippings to mix with the Coke for a sumptuous brown gravy.

To remove grease from clothes: Empty a can of Coke into a load of greasy clothes, add detergent, and run through a regular cycle. The Coca-Cola will help loosen grease stains.

Coke will also clean road haze from your windshield.

FOR YOUR INFORMATION:

The active ingredient in Coke is phosphoric acid. Its pH is 2.8. It will dissolve a nail in about four days. Phosphoric acid also leaches calcium from bones and is a major contributor to the rising increase in osteoporosis.

To carry Coca-Cola syrup (the concentrate) the commercial truck must use the "Hazardous Material" place cards reserved for highly corrosive materials.

The distributors of Coke have been using it to clean the engines of their trucks for about 20 years!

Now the question is, would YOU like a glass of water or Coke?

I'm going with what the above guy wrote, cuz i watched myth busters and all that stuff about coke is wrong if it could dissolve a nail in 2 days or whatever, dont you think everyone who drank a can of coke would be dead? besides that how about you try cleaning your car engine with coke and send me a picture of how shiny and sparkly it is. its just gonna make everything all sticky! people need to stop believing everything they hear. if someone says coke can disolve something or clean something then get off your fat @$$ and try it to prove them wrong! You have already been proven wrong and i bet you feel pretty retarded now don't you.

Water has no taste
Coke tastes good

Our bodys are 98% water, we dont need any more
We have no coke in our bodys. unless its in our belly

I'll take a coke, actually make it 2 cokes, i need to catch up with all the water in my body.

I will rate these in terms of healthiness (from best to worst): Water, ice tea, coke, diet coke Despite what some may say, diet coke is worse than regular because you are getting artificial things that are bad for you, even more than coke. Dropping coke completly can make you lose 5-15 lbs. in the first 3 months. Ice tea is okay in moderation, without a lot of sugar. Water is the best thing for you and the only drink vital to life. It is always the best choice and is good for your body. Remember, fo every 1 sugary drink you must drink 2 glasses of water to help knock out the sugar in it..

Water...but if you had offered a Dr. Pepper instead I would have gone for that con gusto.

Also, have you actually tried to dissolve a nail with coke? It ain't as easy as you think. Also, did you know that your own stomach acids can disolve a nail? Only an idiot could use coke to clean an engine. The sugars in it would gunk it up in no time. You are posting all sorts of urban legends about coke. Some of them are complete fakes. The police carrying 2 gallons of coke to clean up blood? False. Dissolving a steak in 2 days? False. Mythbusters checked some of these things. The only thing that seemed to work for them was the cleaning chrome.

In the morning, or at lunch or dinner I'd have an ice cold glass of coke. In between meals I'd drink an ice cold glass of filtered water.

Even though I crave Coke and always have to have one once in awhile too much of it makes me physically ill and I also crave water which doesn't have the same ill effect. So, given the choice and how I feel at the moment I would like a water please.
