Gas is a limited valuable resource. As long as there is a demand for gasoline the prices will always rise. It's winter so prices are gonna go up faster.

Why is it President Bush's fault, or the war's fault? Believe it or not, we import a lot of fuel from Canada and South America, and not just the Middle East. Gasoline prices are based on the global market, not just the US. Bigger demand from places like China and India are in part causing the prices to go up. Also, have you ever seen a break down in the price of a gallon of gas? A lot of what you pay at the pump is state and local taxes which have been in place for many years.

Boycott MOBIL Stations. They are privately owned and operated, thus they can set any price they want. Locally, they all seem to owned by foreigners, probably looking to send the extra $$ back home.
In central NY, the highest Mobil price was $3.37. The lowest, was $3.18 at B.J's. I say boycott all of the price gougers and spend the extra 5 minutes driving to a station with somewhat reasonable prices.

3.37???!! In the past 3 weeks we went from 2.60 to 3.01 currently, we're driving from MA to TX tomorrow and my mother in law down there said it went from about 2.50 to 2.90 currently in the past 3 weeks. It always goes up this time of year, I expected it, but 3.37 wherever you are seems a bit ridiculous all ready. Good luck with that! I wish there was something we could do..

Obama will make our gas fees upward push while he implements a providence earnings tax, will boost capital features tax, and will boost the taxes of employers that hire American workers. McCain would desire to attempt to get some greater enjoyed ones drilling. yet neither is conversing approximately increasing refining skill. Whoever wins, gas fees will the two upward push extensively or stay the comparable. Neither one is addressing the actual motives for best gas fees (falling dollar, speculators, loss of refining, and so on.).

they'll continue to go up during the holidays, as we travel more by road, as well as driving more to do more shopping, etc... unlike other times of the year, people are less likely to cut back on this for the holidays...
after the holidays, we'll see them go down again, or another inquest into price fixing, then they'll drop back to a little higher than the 3.00 median they did the last time they went up...
Why this is in 'entertainment & music' is beyond me.

The gas prices are ridiculous. But I guess it goes along with the fabulous war and everything else going on in our country. People are going to drive less and take public transportation more. No one will be able to afford gas.
But what can we really do about it? Vote next year!!! wooo...no more bush!
