Just wondering who came up with the idea of euthanasia for my speech and debate class. I am doing a debate on euthanasia and I need lots info!!!

Euthanasia was a technique that has been used for centuries. It was made popular by Dr. Jack Kevorkian.

Euthanasia is an idea that has been around for millenia, possibly since the inception of mankind. Nobody can take credit for the idea as it is almost a natural human instinct to want to alleviate the suffering of another. If the only way to alleviate suffering is a painless dignified death, then so be it.

I am sure it goes back to the beginning of man. When someone was too sick to move with the tribe, or someone was so badly injured that they could not be treated, those people were put out of their misery.
