I have known nurses from the Philippines who have had a very difficult time transferring their credits and in some instances even getting their nursing licenses to the US. It is a big hassle and not worth the effort and cost.

In terms of being allowed, Yes. Will you be accepted to medical school in the US?? I can't tell you for sure. It will depend on several issues 1) the acceptance of your nursing degree in the US; 2) the coursework you took in the degree, it will have to meet the academic prerequisites for med school in the US; 3) your performance on the MCAT.

Good luck to you!

No.

US medical schools do not accept foreign credits. They require that you have AT LEAST 90 hours of college credit in an accredited US university, and that you complete the pre-requisite classes (bio, chemistry, organic chemistry, physics, math, english, etc).

You should visit the American Medical Colleges Association website for the specific requirements. http://www.amcas.org

Good luck.
