they do get rancid but if you put them in the freezer and only take out what you need at one time they will last until you use them up.

I've had walnuts in a freezer bag in my freezer for nearly a year. Pecans, too. As long as they are kept frozen, they'll stay fresh indefinitely. I take them out about 30 minutes to an hour before I want to use them and let them thaw at room temp. Works for me!

Glasspacks are a quick, cheap muffler fix. All they do is stuff alot of fiberglass in between 2 tubes with perforations in the inner tube. It doesn't take long for that fiberglass to be pushed out by the backpressure of the exhaust, & the harder you drive your car the faster this will happen. A year of daily driving will turn your glasspack into nothing more than an un-muffled straight pipe exhaust system.
