Earlier than I planned! We told family and close friends right away. I ended up telling at work at just 6 weeks because I started puking all the time and couldn't hide it! So I had to confess or have them thinking I was deathly ill. After I told there, it spread quickly.

With my first two I told my family with in the first few weeks and friends and co-workers after the third month. With my last one, I didn't tell anyone but my parents and in laws until I was 6 months. It was nice. I think it also made the older kids less anxious about the baby on the way. In stead of weighting 8 months they only had to wait 3.

I always tell my parents as soon as I find out. From there on I tell people once I get further along. I don't usually wait until I'm the full 12 weeks though. My family is going to find out whether I have a miscarriage so why not just tell them I'm pregnant.

With the 1st at 9 weeks because I was so sick I didn't want to have to tell my boss before family. With my second, the day before I was going to tell, at 12 weeks, I miscarried. With my 3rd I was 17 weeks before I told. With my 4th I was 17 weeks again. It is up to you when to tell but the earlier you do, there is still a chance of miscarriage and then having to go back and tell everyone about that.

I told my family right when I found out! I told a few CLOSE friends right away also- but I didn't start sharing it with the world till I was out of the first trimester so about 13 weeks! (I miscarried my first at 9 weeks, and didnt enjoy having to tell everyone) To keep it safe I waited till i was sure!

I told people as soon as I found out - which was about 4 weeks. I felt so crappy during the first trimester that I needed support from people. I can't imagine having to go through all of that and not being able to tell people why I was so sick all of the time.

I told them as soon as i found out due to my family support. Which is great. But most wait until after 14 weeks due to the risk of a miscarriage.

My husband's family: The very day we found out, he just couldn't wait
My family: We waited like a week or 2.. we were just so nervous & scared of their reaction. We told my mom & then another week later my dad...
We were on a long term relationship & very commited to each other, but not married yet. I am 21 years old, still, i was daddy's little girl <3

many people and doctors tell you to wait until your second trimester just in case of miscarriage. I say tell your immediate family and let friends wait. My mother would have gone crazy if i was three months pregnant and didn't tell her. and in the end, she was a great help when no one else knew a thing
