The minimum they can give you for an eviction is 30 days. A shorter time frame than that is an illegal eviction, but check your states laws to be certain! Maybe you can find what you are looking for here!

If you are renting a house or apartment and you receive a demand letter from the owner asking you to move out, then you are considered a "squatter" until the owner files a Motion for Eviction in small claims court. Once you are served with copies of this legal document, it specifies exactly how long you have to get your things off the property before an Officer of the Law comes to evict you and your property from the premises. It could take up to thirty days (or possibly more) to get a "squatter" legally evicted from your property.

By law, you can go to court and the landlord has to give you at least 30 days to move. They cannot evict you and tell you that you only have 3 days to move.

Depending on were you live lease agreements and your situation they can change the locks on your door after 3 days to go ahead with the eviction. They will have to let you back into your house to get your belongings.
