Feminists want equal pay and equal work for women.
They want a female president. They also fight for Title IX which requires public institutions to give equal access of sports and education to females. So if were equal why dont both of us have to sign up in selective service?

You have a good argument. I am currently undecided in the debate of letting women be in the infantry or other front line combat roles. Like you, I believe women that want equal rights also need to exercise equal responsibility, even if it means going to war. Then I also feel that the vast majority of women are physically inferior to men when it comes to the endurance and strength required in combat. But I see no reason to bar women from the draft since they can do support and supply roles in the military, like they do now.

In 1973, the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) failed to pass which would have granted equality under the law to women, as well as required them to register. Registering for the draft, as well as provisions for equality for gays are the primary reasons the ERA didn't get the necessary votes.

Simply put, the US Constitution doesn't provide equality for women and doesn't require women to register.

I am female but not a feminist. I do not want Hillary as president, but as both a female and a veteran I believe that both men and women should have to register with selective service. Of course I also think we should make military service mandatory for a minimum of 2 years.

Well, women should not be expected to shoulder half the burden of defending our country because they have nowhere near half the opportunities in this country. Your pointing out that this "Representative democracy" has failed to elect a female president in over two hundred years perfectly illustrates this.

Feminists are educated, and so they probably pay attention to world events and the fact that United States military operations abroad are rarely, if ever conducted to defend our country, but are used to police the world, terrorize innocents, and institute fascist dictators. As such, they would not support women's joining the armed forces, but would oppose anyone's being forced to serve in a violent and imperialist institution such as the military.

Some have been trying to get that in place, actually.

Not all feminists are opportunistic man-hating types. That's a gross generalization, and stereotypes are for the lazy and ignorant. (Like a certain stereotyping troll here, aka MS D.)

The same reason they are not fighting for men to get an equal shake in divorce court. When being a woman has an advantage it is good. When being a woman has a disadvantage it must be changed.

If they want equality why don't they also accept equal punishment when they rape a child?

I hate feminism with a passion. They do NOT stand up for me or millions of American women. The N.O.W. organization is also nothing but men haters.
