I went to the Medicaid web page to see if I could find the answer you were looking for the only thing I could find about pregnant women and children is this:

Pregnant women and children can apply at many clinics hospital and prenatal care assistance program offices call your local department of social serices to find out where you can apply!

for more information go to there web page: http://www.health.state.ny.us/health_care/medicaid/

it will tell you all you need to know including numbers to call and what you need to provide them....good luck!

Go to a planned parenthood. Its the easiest way and they do all the paper work for you.You wont need your parents(even if your under their insurance if it doesnt cover pregnancy).Just call one near you and they will tell you what you need to bring.I vebeen threw it twice.I had a baby at 15 then again at 19!it beats sitting in social services for hours on end and dealing with their attitudes.!good luck

Congrats on the baby. I hope you receive medicaid soon so I can support another kid that is the product of a truly stupid decision. Have you ever heard of birth control? Why should the taxpayers have to pay for your kid?

i just filled out paperwork for medicaid and there is a section on there for parent/guardian signature of applicant. They probably want to know if your parents have the financial means to support you because that is their job, but if they can't, then medicaid will cover you.

Their not co-signing for a car loan. You and your baby are a family now. You make every decision for yourself and your child from here on out. No one really told me that when I had my daughter at 17! Good luck and congrats on the baby.

I think you can do it all on your own. Because your parents would not be the one getting covered it would be you and your un born baby.

i'm not sure if you need parent permission but i know you do need alot of things and if you call your local DHS office they will tell you exactly what you need, and while your at it get your WIC application filled out to so you can get everything you need

You will need at least one parent to sign unless you are married.

You can do it by yourself. You and your baby are considered a family now.
