No. Your VHS is analog. Computers are digital. No USB connection exists between VHS and Computer. However, there are machines that will convert your VHS's analog signal to digital. So VHS connects to this converter then the converter connects to your computer.

Not directly. You can get an external video capture card that connects to your PC via USB and your VHS in turn plugs into the video capture device. So in a way you kind of can but not directly.

You need three things to record them on to your Mac. One, you need a VHS player to play these movies. Two, you need a Mac card where you receive the movies from the player and three is a video audio cable to connect the player with you new card.

You might have to call a Radioshack and ask them if they have a "RCA to USB connector" then you are going to have to use either Windows Movie Maker or a Media Editor like Final Cut Pro to record your VHS tape into a media file format like: MPEG3 or MPEG4.

You'll need an adapter to hook the appropriate cables to. Pinnacle makes such a device that comes along with software needed to capture the video and audio. Unless your computer came with a video card that had video hook ups you'll have to get one of these. Good Luck!!

You need a video card that accepts RCA jacks (RED,WHITE for sound and YELLOW for video). Or only yellow for video and the audio can be heard on external speakers.
