We won't untangle it. We shouldn't get involved. I don't know whether he looks like Castro or not. Bush will observe how their country reacts and possibly use it as a blueprint for his own plans for martial law. The Taliban aren't really a threat. They're a group of uneducated people with alot of time on their hands. We made them into villains as an excuse to get over there and mobilize into Iraq. The real threat is Bush claiming that those nukes have found their way into Iran. It is really difficult to trust the leadership in this country. They are so full of sh*t

We really should stay out of Pakistan's affairs. Pervez Musharraf isn't exactly the nicest guy in the world to be friends with. And America shouldn't be giving billions of taxpayer money to Pakistan.
There are many people in America who can't afford health care, have no job, or can't afford to get educated. Shouldn't those people be helped first.

Bottom line, we can't let him hold that "I won't be your friend anymore" BS over our heads. Musharraf's a low-key, back-door despot and dictator. I can understand our gingerly walk through this landmine territory. But he shouldn't get away with what he's doing. Let's not go to war. But let's just mark him down as one more middle easterner who is playing us. Sanctions are called for, definitely. We want a friend in him. But he's showing that he's not one. Let's move on.

Musharraf looks like Chavez with nukes and a terrorist in a cave, in his backyard.

The US is powerless in this case.
The divisions in this country are such that we will have no choice but to sit back and watch until we are attacked again.
Then we'll have to find out from Nancy Pelosi just what the moral response will be.
Should we relax and take a moment to try and understand the feelings of our attackers? Should we take stock of what we may have done to get them so angry?
Edwards says that he will engage them in diplomacy. So will Richardson. He says he has experience in this regard.
Obama and the rest think we should beg Iran and Syria to help us in our hour of need.

Musharraf is just trying to fire people he couldn't fire as President.... and get his own people into place... once that is done he'll return Democracy... or at least the full illusion of it (after all.. if he owns all the people of power.. how democratic is it really) once he's got his people into place

Yes. What a mess. Too bad Bush and his followers did not consider the full consequences of their actions.

Do you know how to fix it? If so, PLEASE get involved!
I don't think the fact that I was joking translated to well.
Of course you should stay out of it! This whole situation is a mess, with no end in sight and any American with half a brain knows it! Any American with 1/2 a heart wouldn't want any more people to involve themselves in this horrible war we are going to have one hell of a time getting ourselves out of it!

I think we need to solve our homeland problems before we try to solve the rest of the world's problems.
