i had to put some distance between myself and my mom and i think we both are able to grow more and be healthier. can a person be too close to their mom? i was watching kanye on the news and it seems like they are really close but it may have just been a money thing. i dont know any of the wests but im sorry to hear about their tragedy in the news

ok. i hear you. and i agree that we should love our moms. i love mine a lot. but if i became a big
star i would just send my mom a couple milion in the mail. i wouldnt go there to hand it to her. i think she would know how to spend it without me
being all underfoot. see what im saying?

celestia, i started just telling my mom 'i love you'
over the phone from a distance, whats wrong with doing it like that? does it mean more love if you actually say it face to face and spend a lot of time hanging around with her?

I don't think so in terms of Kanye West and his mother; I suppose it is possible to be too close to your parent (putting aside the perversion that does sometimes occur). You need to be able to do things on your own and not depend on your parent to do it for you. In his situation, he owed everything to his mother, and he wanted to share his success with her; if I became famous, I would definitely take my mom to a premiere of my movie or CD release party or whatever - she means a lot to me. I didn't see it as a money thing at all.

No. He was a momma's boy, and there isn't anything wrong with that. He mom raised him and he appreciated her. More people should appreciate their parents before it's too late to say so.
