It depends on how many tests you've had and also how much the final counts toward your grade. The rule of averages applies.

If you have 3 known test grades and a final of equal value add them up and divide by 4. IF the final exam is assumed to be the x and there is a 100 point system (the best grade is 100)

For instance if you have 75, 80, and 95 currently your average is 81.67
(75 + 80 + 95)/3 = 245/3 = 81.67

(a + b + c + x)/4 = grade wanted
(75 + 80 + 90 + x ) 4 = grade wanted
(245 + x ) = 4(grade wanted)
x = 4(grade wanted) - 245

so if you wanted to get a 90

x = 4(90) - 245
x = 360 -245
x = 115

You would have to make a 115 to have a 90 average (which you couldn't do unless there are bonus points)

Usually on a scale bof 100 points a certain percentage comes from class participation, another certain percentage comes from quizzes during the term, and the rest from the final exam. The percentages and where the midterm exam fits in their depend on the teacher's judgment as to what is most valuable.

You first need to add up the marks you know you have and the percentage they count for.Multiply the marks by the total percentages these parts of the grade count for. That gives you what is missing that your final exam must provide for the final mark. Take your final's mark and multiply it by the percentage the final counts for.

For example if quizzes and class work count for 75% and you got a perfect grade of 100 total you have after the multiplication 75 of the points you need for your finsl grade (and will not get less than the 75 for your final grade even if you had the flu during the final.).

Now what is left in this example is 25% of the total so you will be multiplying your grade on the final by 25% and those are the added points you will add to your total point collection. So if you got 100 you have all 25 points added in. If you got 50 on your final you would get 25% of 50 = 12.5 points added in.

Basically find the weight of the final compared to the weight of the rest of the course. So if the final is 25% of your final grade and you currently have a 70%, you can follow this formula to figure out what is needed.

70* 0.75 + 0.25x = Final grade.

So if you want an 80 overall 52.5 + .25x = 80, you would need
a 110 on the final.

So if you want an 75 overall 52.5 + .25x = 75, you would need a 90 on the final.

So if you want an 70 overall 52.5 + .25x = 70, you would need a 70 on the final.

It depends what your teachers grading system is. Is it total points, or are certain groups (test, homework, etc) worth different percentages of your final grade?

It depends how your teacher computes you grade. You should've asked your teacher how she/he grades you.
