Is there anyone out there like this. I have tried, but it is not the foods that I want to eat even some bad foods I don't want. I am just craving gravy with rice all the time.

As long as you are taking your prenatal vitamins faithfully, drinking enough water, and getting some doctor approved exercise (walking is great!) don't worry TOO much about what you eat. So long as you aren't gaining too much too fast, and are getting your vitamins, you are fine. You can make some healthy choices and still eat the food you like though. For example, switch to brown rice, it has more fiber. Make (or buy) gravy with less sodium. Eat a smaller portion of rice, and add a steamed vegetable or a small salad on the side. In any case, don't beat yourself up too much for indulging in your cravings. For some women, eating things other than what they crave only makes them sick to their stomach. Just do the best you can.

I am dieting (not pregnant), but have lived off of rice for 3 meals a day since I was able to digest solid food. I get these cravings all the time. Brown rice is healthy and if you use low sodium chicken broth instead of water and a small bit of olive oil you can still get the flavor of gravy. Enjoy!

This is normal. Your body is asking for fat and carbs and the answer your brain comes up with is rice&gravy. It is ok to submit to the craving once in a while, but make sure you eat healthily between cravings. Another option is that you can look for healthier foods that satisfy the "carb and fat" craving.

Just because you are craving gravy with rice all the time doesn't mean you should eat it all the time.

I had a horrible time with morning sickness. I felt like all I could eat without getting sick was junk food. I'd eat an apple and throw up. I'd eat a candy bar and feel great. Both my pregnancies, for the first few weeks, I ate horribly...... and my kids are fine! It will just take time. If you eat "bad" foods for a while, it isn't going to hurt your baby....but you may gain quite a few unwanted pounds!

Just eat whatever you can keep down, and when the desire changes, eat healthier things.
What youre eating is for you, the baby will get all the nutrients it needs from your body, whether you eat it or not. Even so much as to leech the calcium from you teeth if it cant get it anywhere else.
Take your prenatal, and eat what you can. Drink water.
