I have to have this answer for school.....and I can't find the answer! Help!

There were certain benefits and very little cost. To dat, I can't think of a period or event where Canada would regret its ties with Britain.

In return, Canada gets a clear set of allies, natural trade partners, some protection against US expansion threats, a stabalizing factor in the political make up and, as a member of the Commonwealth, maintains an alliance that helps keep balance in the world as a superpower (together).
