Sounds like a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. I would come. The thing that I am always thankful for is God and having 2 families to spend Thanksgiving with. Have a Blessed Thanksgiving.

We have a smoked turkey and ham from the local meat market, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes (half of it mashed with marshmallows on top because not everyone likes it that way), my mother makes her famous dressing, cranberry sauce (homemade), green beans (not the casserole, either), and I make the most amazing homemade dinner rolls.
As for desserts... I'm in charge of the dinner rolls and desserts each year. This year, for desserts, I am using some of Paula Deen's recipes: Pumpkin Gooey Butter Cake, Pumpkin Pecan Pie, regular pecan pie (for those that demand it each year), and fudge.
There are a lot of us that bake and cook (several generations), and we all show up at the same home with all of our dishes. It's wonderful. I love having a large family Thanksgiving. Family come from all over the United States to join us for this meal.
As for what we're thankful for... I have to say... I am thankful for things on a daily basis...not just at Thanksgiving.
Oh! The best part. FOOTBALL! We love to watch it and play it! There's an empty field by the deer fence at my parents' house that's perfect for football.

This year, I will be most thankful for the birth of my first child. I was due last week, and he still hasn't arrived yet, but my ob won't let me deliver past next Tuesday so he will be here in time for Thanksgiving.
We usually have a huge meal & the food starts around 1p, and goes until about 8p. Everything is homemade by me or one of the other members of the family & we have between 6-20 people here depending on the year. This year our Thanksgiving feast will be held the first weekend of December so I have time to feel like me again.
Appetizers: pepperoni bread, spinach dip, veggies & dips, pigs in a blanket
Dinner: turkey, gravy, stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potaotes w/ apples, corn, creamed onions, string bean casserole, cranberry sauce, dinner rolls
Dessert: apple cake, pumpkin pie, lemon meringue pie, cookies, pecan tassies (easier to make then a whole pecan pie), and something sugar free (either cheesecake or cherry pie), homemade whipped cream & usually homemade vanilla ice cream.
Lots of coffee, tea, hot cocoa, red wine, & soda.

We usually have fried turkey (probably baked this year though), gravy, spiral ham, stuffing, green bean casserole, cranberry sauce, rolls, carrots cooked with brown sugar and butter, homemade mashed potatoes and the desserts usually change because I love experimenting, last year I made a double layer pumpkin pie and a pumpkin cheesecake with gingersnaps for the crust, this year I'm thinking apples and I tried a three layer pumpkin pie but I liked the double layer one better.

Turkey, sage dressing, mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, green beans in mushroom soup, pecan pie and whipped cream, cranberry sauce, black olives, turkey gravy, and water. Then my family would go to Golden, Colorado, at a restaurant drugstore and get malts in the afternoon, then go back home again, and eat Thanksgiving supper. I was most thankful for the butterscotch malt, and Macy's Thanksgiving day parade.

We're making a lemon garlic sage turkey, 2 stuffings, green bean casserole, mixed greens salad with balsamic vinaigrette and feta, 2 different mashed potatoes with bacon gravy, French bread, and some appetizer I haven't come up with yet.
I really want shrimp, but one of the guests can't stand even the smell of seafood. Otherwise my menu would be done.
Oh, and I'm thankful for my husband, kids, and grandkids and that we can spend time with them.
