Please dont judge me as i know i have been irresponsible and its getting me down.

I am pregnant. I split with my boyfriend in May and slept with a guy on 29thJune 2007, i then has my period 2 days later. I then got back with my boyfriend in July around the middle. As i remember i had a light period, but my periods hace always been unpredictable. I went for a dating scan on the 26th September and they told me i was six weeks pregnant, which would mean i concieved around the 14th August is this correct? I have been for another scan on the 26th October and i was 12.5 weeks pregnant give or take 5 days which would mean i concieved around the end of July/beg of August if thats how you work it out?

Could the dating scans be wrong? im really worrying myself to the point its making me unwell, could this be the guy i slept with in June or my boyfriends? can scans be 3 or 4 weeks out? also am i working out the date i conceieved correctly?

Please help

The earlier scan is much more accurate. The dates they give you are pretty good when you are less than 9 weeks along. After that they get a little further and further away from the exact conception date. The 6 week scan would never be 3 weeks wrong. Go by the date on the earliest scan and count back the days. That would put your conception firmly into august, this is your boyfriends baby. You still should tell him what happened just for the sake of honesty in a relationship. If you are meant to be, you will work it out and be stronger for it. In a relationship, lies kill more often than any infedelity. I hope everything works out for you. Calm down and be happy that you are bringing a baby into the world..and go out and make that world the best you can for your childs sake.

It looks to me that your baby is your boyfriend's. Dating scans taken at about 12 weeks are very accurate (within a few days), since nearly all babies grow at the same rate until farther along in pregnancy.

In order for the other guy to be the father, the scan would have to be off by about 4 weeks. Dating scans are done with machines which are much more accurate than that.

Please stop worrying, and congratulations!

Usually these tests aren't off by much. From what you've said here, I would say that it is pretty certain that your boyfriend is the father. As you get further along in the pregnancy theyll be able to pinpoint more surely how far along you are. You can go off that ad count backwards (showing the end of July or Begin of Aug) and be reassured or you could always wait and have a paternity test.

Dating scans are acccurate as every baby grows at the same rate up to 12 weeks, the light period could possibly have been a implantation bleed try not to worry according to your dates id say your boyfriend is the daddy. Good luck.

it sounds like from your caculations that your boyfriend would be the daddy but talk to him and let him know that there is a small chance that he may not be and get a dna test as soon as possible just to be sure... and be happy that your not as bad as most people who can't even begin to think of the possibilities are at least you can say if it's not you than i know it's him... **** happens you and your boyfriend split up you had an "affair" and then got back with your boyfriend, you're not a bad person for that but still should get the dna just to be sure of who the babies real daddy is.... and hopefully by chance if the baby isn't your boyfriends and you two are still together he can still take some kind of responsibility for the baby and still be a part of your life

Subtract two weeks from how far along you were. The dr. adds two weeks. I kinda had a similar situation. But once they told me to subtract the two weeks from how far along I was I could figure out who I was preg. by. Most likely the boyfriend is the father- you should of conceived around mid August.

listen...it realy doesnt matter if u count it right or wrong..and all that worrying is bad for u specialy now that u are pregnant...u just gonna have to wait and see..thats if u choose to have a blood test..but u dont know that guy very well...so u have to think whats best for u and ur child...sometimes keeping a secret isnt that bad after all.. bcuz its for the better..but if its killing u inside...after u have ur child..u can find out the truth..u might already been was pregnant when u slept with the guy #2...bcuz sometimes u can bleed irregular and be pregnant..trust me..it happened b4...so its proly be ur bf baby..goodluck..

It sounds like it is your boyfriends. But you could always get a DNA test when the baby is born to double check. The ultrasound scan dates are usually more accurate than anything else. Hope that helps and congrats!

lucky for you, you got pregnant in august, the baby is your boyfriends. you would have been further along for it to be the guys who you slept with in june. the scans add up with your last period being in july as well.

sounds like the baby will be your boyfriends but then again you wont know for def unless you do a dna test when the baby is here. go to youtube and type in "how pregnancy happens" its a funny cartoon that tells you things that you might want to know. if nothing else it will make you laugh.
congrats on your pregnancy and good luck x
