I had a wonderful pen pal for over 25 years. She died two years ago and I miss her terribly. I do still send out handwritten cards to family and friends during the holidays and on birthdays. But I will always miss my old pen pal.

I still write handwritten letters and cards out to family and friends. I like to receive the as well. I just think it is more personal to write to someone you care about than to send them an email or ecard. Call me old fashioned.

YEs I have an ex who is in the military and we stilll are good friends. we still exchange written letters, he said it is so much more personal when he is in the field to have something he can put his hands on rather than just email and he loves the way they smell like me.....;)

I do, and I appreciate getting them as well. They're much more personal than an email or text message.
