A UFO simply means that they could not identify what they saw. Many people have seen UFO's.
Extra-terrestrials, on the other hand, are a different story. Given the condition that the universe is infinite, I would think that there is a better chance of life on another planet existing than not.
However, the infinite nature of space also makes it very unlikely that "aliens" spend their time zooming through our atmosphere, at least in my opinion.
