Doing some research for my media a-level. Looking at whether kid's watch too many American tv shows that it is giving them an impoverish view of British culture. Your opinion will be great!

i don't know of any british shows that come on our tvs - honestly can't name one

I once taught a girl who thought that Birmingham (UK) was named after Birmingham (USA).

How many English children know about the civil war and the birth of parliamentary democracy yet know all about the American civil war.

How many young Brits have ever heard an English folk song yet listen to American C&W all the time.

Culturally we are now a colony of the American empire. Hollywood dictates our views.

I don't know I usaually do not watch tv that often only twice a week a hour for each show.
