I never had innocence, I was physically, mentally, emotionally abused by mother, then at 18 sexually abused by a high school jerk. by 19, I was in my first ever relationship which he would beat me til the end of it which was six years later. I think my fairytale started when I had children I was able to go back and be a child for the first time. I know what it is like to smile and close my eyes while the wind blows on my face. Just have a "normal" day without getting beat up in so many different ways.
Let me tell you, my story has a good ending, it is a true fairytale.

I have never considered myself optimistic. Every time everything seems to be going right, I always take that to mean that's just more things to go wrong. Only in that last couple years have I discovered that I truly do, "make my own luck"
As a child I never had much innocence as being finally taken away from my abusive mother by social services around 10 years old. I went though a lot of adolescent problems from then on until I finally started living right, around 15. Moved out that age, trained horses for people to make money. Got my GED two years later... Going to Nursing School in Jan.
I feel like, my life, is just now beginning. I owe so much to my fiance. Hoping to have have a kid soon to be the mother I didn't have.

Thankfully I had good parents who taught me that no matter if I fall flat or fail, I should always pick myself up, and continue being the best soldier that I can be. I'm not the first to say this but the world can be a cruel place. War is not pretty. Fortunately, I had good leadership to get through the toughest times. My family is always there for me, for the good and the bad. Reality hit me when I was 16 and got into a car accident. Teenagers are not invinceable, I found that out the hard way. I am now 21 and making a good life for myself.

It was the process of growing up that thought me everything. I mean, I wish all these things can be learned from a text book, but obviously there's no other ways to learn than the hard way.

I'm much more optimistic when I was a kid.

when i was about 7. had my parents to educate me.nothing comes easy, but still i had a wonderful childhood moments!
i lost my innocence when i was 13. i started 2 learn new things and everything taboo bcame interesting at one time. it didnt ruin anything.instead, it taught me between the good n the bad. i wasnt a crazy child so i coped well.
i always had neutral views on everything.till today,i am still learning the lessons of life.the earth is totally a made up fairytale.its us who must wake up and smell the reality.

I'd guess is was second grade when I transferred from a nice civilized Quaker school to a rough public school and proceeded to get the **** kicked out of me every day for being nice.

Somewhere around the events of 9/11. I only ever saw those kind of things in movies.

My current fairy tale is that I believe in the light in human beings. My super heroes are the human beings who are capable of making the world a better place. They are all here, you just have to see it with different eyes.
